Knights of Columbus St. Anne Council 9594
The Knights of Columbus represent the largest and arguably the most influential lay organization in the Catholic Church. With over 1,900,000 members in over 15000 councils throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, American Samoa, Guam, the Philippines, Poland, and South Korea. We are a fraternal organization with a family orientation. We have been called the "worker bees" of the Catholic Church.
Some of the work performed by The Knights of Columbus, St. Anne Council No. 9594
- Assists the Pastor, priests, deacon(s), and religious orders assigned to St. Anne’s Parish
- Honors Orange County clergy at Annual Clergy Night
- Raises funds to support Orange County Seminarians through net proceeds from Annual Alaskan Fish Dinner
- Supports Special Olympics
- Conducts annual Tootsie Roll Drive with proceeds going to the intellectually disadvantaged and physically challenged
- Raises funds to support the Pro Life Program, Pregnancy Centers, and Women’s Shelters throughout the Diocese of Orange through annual Pennies from Heaven Program
- Hosts Rite of Christian Initiation Adults (RCIA) Welcome Dinner
- Honors deceased council members at Mass for Deceased Council Members conducted during the Month of All Souls
- Fosters parish fellowship by conducting Quarterly Sunday Pancake Breakfasts
- Assists the community by conducting an Annual Blood Drive
- Hosts a Christmas Food Drive for needy Seal Beach families
- Promotes Youth Development Activities (conducted at McGaugh Elementary School)
- Teaches woodworking to youngsters with special needs
- Hosts charity events such as Fishing Tournament on the Seal Beach Pier & Pinewood Derby Race
- Conducts Essay Contest for the St. Anne Parish Youth Group, middle school and high school age groups.
- Conducts an Annual Basketball Hoop Shoot Competition which encourages growth of local children of all faiths and denominations
- Hosts an Annual Christmas Dinner for members and friends of the Order
- Fosters parish fellowship by conducting Donut Sunday events
- Hosts Annual St. Patrick and St. Joseph Day Dinner
- Honors parish mothers with roses on Mother’s Day
